What is a Postpartum Doula?

The postpartum doula cares for the mother and her family in their home in the first few weeks following the birth of their baby. A postpartum doula provides non-medical support and companionship, assists with newborn care and sibling adjustment, meal preparation and household organization.

Navigating Newborns is a group of independent postpartum doulas who are professionally trained by an international or national doula organization such as DONA or CAPPA. Our goal is to bring individual and quality care to your family in the comfort of your home and support you during the first weeks following the birth of your baby or babies.
